At Quality Prime Cuts, our story is steeped in tradition, family, and a relentless pursuit for exceptional quality. We're more than a beef farm - we're a family with a passion for producing and retailing the finest Wagyu beef right here in Central Scotland.  

Our family has been farming here in Central Scotland for generations, tending to native Scottish Aberdeen Angus Cows, our primary cattle breed. These majestic creatures were bred, grazed, and finished right here on our family farm, forming the bedrock of our enterprise and earning us a reputation for quality beef.  

But it was a trip around the world that sparked a revolution in our family farming practices. 

When our eldest son graduated from Agricultural University, he set out to see the world. His travels took him to America and Australia, where he worked on beef farms that were finishing F1 Wagyu - a first-generation crossbreed between Wagyu and other cattle breeds. He observed the unique attributes of this crossbreed, primarily the unrivalled marbling that characterised Wagyu beef, and an idea began to form. 

On his return home, we as a family embraced his fresh vision and started integrating Wagyu with our native breeds. It was a slow, deliberate process, ensuring we preserved the best attributes of both breeds. The result? Our very own first cross Wagyu calves - a perfect blend of Scottish resilience and Japanese luxury. 

What makes Wagyu beef so special? 

The marbling that characterises Wagyu calves is the secret behind the melt-in-your-mouth texture and unmatched flavour of Wagyu beef. his marbling - the delicate streaks of fat running through the meat – is most unusual and was unlike anything we had seen before.  

That was when we realised we had a product that was truly special.  

Fast forward to 2023, and we've made the exciting decision to retail our Wagyu steaks directly to customers. This isn't just about business expansion; it's about giving you, our esteemed customer, access to the best of beef without intermediaries.  

It's about retaining control over the entire process, from the lush pastures where our cattle graze to the moment we deliver your fresh Wagyu steak at your doorstep. 

Why Wagyu? 

At Quality Prime Cuts, we chose to breed and sell Wagyu beef because we believe in its superior quality. We believe in the blissful culinary journey that each bite of our Wagyu steak takes you on. And above all, we believe in carrying on the tradition of our family-run farm, albeit with a dash of innovation and global influence.
